Last week all our doubts about easy studying flew away. We have gotten four assignments which we are supposed to do in next two weeks. Actually I see them very useful and already started doing the one from Surface Excavation. Unfortunately all of them can be done only with use of software which neither me nor my colleagues do not have licence for. That’s why we have to spend more and more time in the campus, which is 8 miles far from Helford. Don’t worry Rys is already working on getting at least evaluation copy of some of them.

Not so long time ago, I looked in the mirror and asked myself “Am I pregnant?”. Seriously I am much bigger than in January. I didn’t analyse that problem too long.. just put on my trainers and started jogging. I must admit that you can find perfect paths and roads for jogging following by the Southern Coast of England. Wonderful views of Cornish landscape are calling to stop and enjoy the nature, but no... Firstly duty and later pleasure. In two days I have run 21 km but just systematic training can give me some satisfatiory results. What’s more on Thursday I, Tomek, Marcin and Johan went for the academic team’s football training. Lots of running, intervals, technic and finally game... Lots of fun, competition and few kilograms less.. Next training – obligatory!
Today we visited the EDEN Project in St Austell, Cornwall. What’s that? From the professional point of view, great way of post-mining land reclamation. From company’s side “Educational charity, international visitor destination, social enterprise and the Project which let them believe that the future could be rosy”. And finally in my opinion it’s really great place, where in one moment you can feel equatorial climate, but just taking few steps more you are already in South Africa or Asia. Basically it’s a complex of big greenhouses, were scientists and volunteers gathered plants, devices and many other things which let them create the view, the atmosphere of various places on Earth. Generally there are three big sections – The Rainforest Biome , Mediterranean Biome and Outdoor Biome. Following by the paths I visited e.g. Malaysian gardens, West and South Africa Tropics, I have seen .. feel the conditions which are needed for grow of such goods as Cola, Cocoa and Sugar, Mangoes, Bananas, Cofee, Peppers and many different plants. But EDEN Project isn’t just greenhouses and plants, that’s also exhibitions, workshops and sport activities, like... ice-skating. Of course I wouldn’t forget myself if I wouldn’t try this. And I can’t regret.. one hour of skating is really that what I wanted .

I tried to “catch and pass” the atmosphere of that place taking photos.. the effects you can find in the album on picasa.
