The first week at the University just passes. Camborne School of Mines calls me four days per week (except Thursday – so called “study day”) when I attend to two courses – Tunnelling and Underground Excavation Designing and Surface Excavation Designing. The classes are led by three teachers. Just on Monday they let us know that it wouldn’t be easy... seems that some of us had doubts ;) The subjects are very serious and wide, so without a systematic studying there would be no chance for passing exam and getting ECTS credit. The worst is just coming – soon each of us will get his own assignment to do. However I already started studying and currently I am fighting with Rock Mass Classification’s charts and tables.
But on the other hand I noticed that the more I study, the bigger I am. I know, I know..rain is not an excuse for breaks in jogging, but I needed some motivation.. to go back to trainings... And such motivation came faster, than I could suppose... Asta will come! Yes, my Better Half will be in Helford in the end of February.. Oh I can’t wait! :) Especially that with every week weather is better and better, rain appears just 5 times per week..;) and in the Sunshine, Cornwall shows it’s beauty... Finally I would be able to share it with the most important person in my life...
I have added new pictures from weekend’s trip to Falmouth – the nearest town. It’s hard to believe looking at the pictures, that they have been taken in the middle of January. Lots of people walking, resting on beaches. Kids playing in water, colourful gardens in bloom. This winter is like none in my life ever!
Ok, I’m going back to my romance with handouts... ;-)
